Hannah Montana The Movie

Disney’s success series now on the big screen. This is a transition Hannah montana fans and critics have been waiting for for a long time. But was it worth the wait?

Story

Miley and Hannah are the same person. And as difficult as this is for Miley it becomes even harder when she and her family visits her hometown Crowley Corners in Tennessee. While at her hometown she finds she has grown out of the farmers life of dirty boots and long days. Miley also forgot about a lot of fellow farmers and towns people including a boy she later falls in love with called travis. Meanwhile a businessman has plans to turn Crowley Corners into a shopping mall. The whole town is collecting money to stop plans but they quickly find out that the only way to save the town is to organize a Hannah Montana concert. But a reporter is following Hannah to uncover her big secret.

The story is pretty strong for such a light comedy. In fact we found it really good because there’s always something happening. Okay it doesn’t go too deep but we wouldn’t want that in this movie anyway. Supporting the strong story is a fantastic performance by Miley Cyrus as Hannah, as well as the other cast members who all delivered a phenomenal performance.

Presentation and general opinion

The picture quality was really nice. The screen quality is very decent and the audio top notch. The soundtrack is also worth noting. Some of the songs are really catchy, comparable to songs found in the High School Musical and Camp Rock series. We particularly liked The Climb, Hoedown Throwdown and Crazier. The last one is sung by Taylor Swift which is great, we like all her songs! Hoedown and the climb are both songs by Miley Cyrus, she is amazing as well. Most people who see this movie will likely (and should!) buy the soundtrack right away. Now we’ve reached a point in this review where we’ll name all the problems and then end the review on a rather negative note. Well I can’t find anything wrong with it! It’s a movie that should be accessible for kids: it is. It should have a great presentation and soundtrack: it does. And it has to be funny: I laughed…a lot. This movie is just genuinely funny, it’s good to see that with all those problems in the world.

Hannah Montana is a funny movie with a fantastic soundtrack and a strong story. It does everything right for its targeted audience and it’s great for adults who want a break from all the problems in the world. In short it’s a funny movie and therefore you should see it. Because there aren’t that many funny movies out these days.

Hannah Montana the TV Show

What can any teenager want from life? Is it fame? Is it fortune? Or will normalcy be even enough to wish for? What if you’re given a chance to lead a double life and experience both normalcy and fame? Will you enjoy it or will you regret it? That’s exactly what "Hannah Montana" is. It’s Disney’s phenomenal hit TV sitcom series about a teenage girl leading a dual life.

By day, Miley Stewart is a just an average girl hanging out with friends and dealing with all the pains and joys of teenage life. By night, she transforms into musical pop icon, Hannah Montana and her world is filled with glitz and glamour, all the stuff that every teenaged girl dreams of. The series is about managing and balancing both lives and concealing her real identity from the public with the help of the people closest to her.

The TV series was co-created by Michael Poryes the creator of the Disney hit called "That’s so Raven"; Barry O’Brien whose credits include CSI: Miami and Judging Amy; and, Richard Correll who also worked on "That’s so Raven" and "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody".

"Hannah Montana" is brought to life by a talented group of young actors and actresses. Miley Cyrus (who happens to share her name with her character) plays the top-billed role of Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana. She was originally turned down when she auditioned for the part of Lilly Romero (later changed to Lilly Truscott) but was later on recalled and after further auditions was handed the part for Hannah Montana.

The role of Miley Stewart’s best friend, Lilly Truscott, is portrayed by Emily Osment of Spy Kids 2 and 3 fame (and who also happens to be Haley Joel Osment’s younger sister). Lilly Truscott also has her own alter ego, Hannah Montana’s best friend, Lola Luftnagle so that she can accompany Miley while under the guise of her music pop icon persona.

Miley Stewart’s other best friend, Oliver Oken, is played by Mitchel Musso. If you’re familiar with Phineas and Ferb, you’ll know that Mitchel Musso plays the role of Jeremy. Oliver Oken also has his own alter ego named Michael Standley III for when the three friends go out and become part of Hannah Montana’s world.

Miley Stewart’s dad is Robbie Stewart, oddly enough played by Miley Cyrus’ real life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. In the series, he acts as both dad (and mom) and manager to Miley and trying his best to reign in the chaos that having a dual life brings.

Miley’s older brother, Jackson is portrayed by Jason Earles who got his big screen break when he appeared as the stable boy who knows the secret to the Templar Knights’ treasure in "National Treasure".

The success of the show has prompted several spin-offs like a musical documentary film called, "Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert and a movie aptly called " Hannah Montana – The Movie". Seeing as how Hannah Montana is a pop icon, it is expected that the show will have several soundtracks as well.
